It’s all about the house

We always knew that a nice place to stay makes a holiday. This was proved on Sunday when we sat and watched the rain, but even better when the sun shines – at last!

That’s us – third from the end.

And wonderful sitting on the balcony.

When we can tear ourselveslves away, it’s a wonderful part of the world to mooch around.

And to have a margarita!

Sunday

Although it is 1st May, the forecast was a little inclement.

But the house is a lovely place to be even when it’s like this.

Penrhyn Castle would be forbidding and gloomy even on a nice day, but at least we got a couple of hours to venture out.

Having not really known about North Wales pre-pandemic, here we are for the third time in less than two years. And we already have our own traditions, such as using Powys Castle as our first pitstop and gateway to North Wales – 3 hours from home if no hold ups.
