Friday, then home

It’s a rare occurrence to hear the weather forecast say “and the best of the sunshine will be in North Wales”. Quick change of plan to make the most of it.

Bodnant

An old favourite and looking as great as ever.

And Plas Newydd again (with deckchairs).

Home on Saturday – left in a monsoon.

Llyn Peninsula

Can’t spend the whole week revisiting so headed off to the Lyn Peninsula on a nice day.

Starting at Aberdaron which felt a bit like Oxwich and Langland.

Then off to Plas Rhiw (I can’t pronounce that but Eileen got pretty close)

Revisits

Barmouth

Barmouth in 2020

Plas Newydd

Plas Newydd in 2020 – it was much sunnier and warmer then!

Penrhyn

And before

Penrhyn is always a “bad weather” visit as essentially it’s all indoors. But it’s a very uncomfortable visit – unbelievable wealth built from slaves and then the local quarries – the latter being more recent which seems to add to the discomfort.

And a quick hi from NYC!

Old Favourites

Conwy and Plas Mawr

And for fun the next one is from from September 2020

Our beach

Met up with an old friend in Dolgellau

Caernarfon

It’s the end of June. After the heat of NYC where better to go to cool off for a week!

Powis Castle is our favourite stopping point on the way to North Wales as it’s only about 3 hours away. Not today – M1 was kind enough to add an hour to that but we made it. But good to be back.

Staying in an enormous farmhouse

And stayed local on Sunday
