We haven’t been far, and we certainly haven’t been anywhere new.
Las Aquas

Garachico
Didn’t see the Xmas lights this year.

Playa San Marcos
Decided it’s the only decent restaurant.

And El Teide is still standing.

A few pictures of where we’re staying. Spent a lot of time here – it’s great.

It’s warm, it’s super familiar, and nothing new. So as part of enjoying ourselves, we have been taking a few pictures.
Here goes

It’s winter, it’s dark, wet and cold at home, so why not?
From this

to this in a few hours

Only a couple of miles away from last time (and the time before that and the time before that) so we know where we are – and can even remember where stuff is in the local Lidl!
Went to see Carlos for dinner as we always do – so nice to be able to sit outside.

First of all, it snowed on Sunday night!

Number 1 – Monday
Forecast looks doubtful after about 10.00, so decide to stay and enjoy the sun in the beautiful garden. Still enjoying about 2.00, so just head out for a bit of a diversion.

And it stays lovely all day.
Number 2 – Tuesday
It’s raining pretty much from the off, so drive over the mountains from the North to the West. What a great idea!

Realised it’s where we stayed 3 years ago but we’d forgotten!
And a final evening in our favourite bar

And then the rain came on Sunday☹️

We reckon it’s the sixth time we’ve been to this part of Tenerife (although you have to count a couple pre-bog). So we know our way around and just enjoying the wonderful views. I reckon more to come over the next few days.

Weather has been rubbish so a few days ago we booked a week in Tenerife (as you do). It’s a fair guess that there’s not going to be much to report.
Nice little apartment (very close to where we were last year)

Dinner at our favourite little beach

Enjoying coffee and breakfast

Nothing to do but enjoy Tenerife and keep reminding ourselves that it’s still freezing at home.
Definitely our favourite bar.

And our favourite restaurant (run by Carlos, not Nigel from Guildford as we had speculated).

And lots of nice times.

Yup – that really is a deep-fried donut dipped in hot chocolate!
Actually it gets a bit hot on the balcony in the afternoon …..
Part of slowing down seems to mean getting into a routine.
Lunch (again) in our favourite fish restaurant.
Early evening (again) – liberating to be able to go out and have a cold beer at our favourite bar in Garachico.

And Christmas lights

Loving it!
