And just referring back to Ernest – the place to take photos changes throughout the day depending on where the sun is.
Anyway, continuing the adventure we drive about 150 miles north, leaving Arizona and into Utah and Bryce National Park. Stopping for a picnic on the way.
And finding a friend.
In Bryce we were assured the natives were reasonably friendly, although note the advice if you have to fight off bears or lions …..
Then a bit of sightseeing. We’re quite high up.
And getting even higher.
But worth it. A few more.
A whole day in Bryce tomorrow, so more to come. Two quick things:
– at this altitude it is predicted to be -6 tonight. Sunny tomorrow, but no higher than +9. So the coats and gloves that have accompanied us though the desert will come into their own.
– the food is unremittingly awful, and the portions gargantuan. Happy days.
