We’re getting more confident about getting around LA – although a satnav is critically important. Decided to spend a couple of hours at the Getty Center (sic), and ended up staying all day. It’s an amazing place.
One of the more famous pieces – they paid $54m in 1987!
As well as looking inside, there are brilliant views outside, although the LA mist (not smog, apparently) didn’t help. The foreground is Century City – you have to look very carefully over to the left to see Downtown LA.
And again.
Gardens were welcome at lunchtime.
Central American and Mexican exhibition key Eileen very happy for a couple of hours.
And we’re getting our bearings even more. The freeway is the 405 which we got stuck on yesterday and runs (or not) north to south.
Then out with Huw in the evening to Marina del Rey for a Mexican. View from dinner.
Margheritas to start …
