Bit of history here, which isn’t really what the blog is usually for. But before Valletta, there were 3 cities on the 3 peninsulas in the map. (That’s the history!)
So we decided to drive and have an explore. (Continuing the car park saga, found the car ok but couldn’t get out – seems no one thought of putting any signs up!
And a new one for us – parking is free in the day but you have to pay at night.
Anyway, it was lovely (and as with all things Malta), small.
Don’t even need a clear day to see Valletta!
And a very good lunch (Maltese Pizza) in a lovely spot.
Quick whizz up to Mdina – probably need to revisit.
